“I started NXT so no one else has to spend a few months or years feeling lost, apathetic, or distanced like I was. Finding your true college match is that launch pad for your career, and future.”
I attended my first two years of college at a small private school in Kentucky to play golf. It wasn't where I should have gone and it took me two years to realize that. I didn't have friends, I was bored academically, there wasn't the athletic and social presence that I always wanted in a college. I ended up transferring back home to a local state college to finish my degree.
There, I felt at home, not just physically, but psychologically: I was now challenged academically, I found people with the same interests, I was able to continue golfing and be a part of my community.
I started NXT so no one else has to spend a few months or years feeling lost, apathetic, or distanced like I was. Finding your true college match is that launch pad for your career, and future. Those four years are some of the most important years because you're determining and laying the path for the rest of your life. Don't waste them at a school that can't bring to the table and match everything that you have to offer.
I'm always eager to connect with educators, students, and anyone passionate about transforming access to higher education.
